Asset history

Every action against an asset — every job record, inspection, meter reading, photo, comment — is permanent and searchable. This is what makes Tero useful for compliance audits, root-cause analysis, and lifecycle costing.

The timeline

On the asset’s detail page, the Maintenance tab is the canonical timeline. Newest events at the top.

Maintenance timeline

Each row shows date, event type, who recorded it, and a one-line summary. Click any row to drill into the underlying record (full job record, full inspection, etc.).

Filtering by event type

Use the filter chips at the top of the timeline to narrow what’s shown:

  • Jobs — completion records only
  • Inspections — pass/fail inspection records
  • Meter readings — every reading logged
  • Comments — discussion threads
  • Attachments — files added directly to the asset (not via a job)

You can also filter by date range — useful when you’re investigating a specific period.

Exporting history to PDF

For audits or hand-over documentation, click Export → PDF at the top of the timeline. You get a multi-page document containing:

  • Asset header info (model, serial, photos)
  • Every event in chronological order
  • Linked job records with their full details inline

The PDF is also a valid record for class society / port state control inspections.
