Submitting a work request

If you find something broken or that needs attention but no job exists for it yet, submit a work request. The maintenance supervisor reviews requests and converts them into jobs.

Finding the button

From the asset page, the portal, or the projects area, look for a New work request button.

Filling in the form

The form has three sections:

  • Request details — title, summary, and full description
  • Asset — which asset is affected (pre-filled if you came from an asset page)
  • Additional details — priority, project (optional), and attachments

Be specific: include where exactly the issue is, what you observed, and what (if anything) you already tried. Photos help enormously — the supervisor often acts faster on a request with a clear picture.

Adding photos

In the attachments section, tap the upload area. On mobile this opens the camera directly. Take a photo of the issue from a useful angle.

Tracking your request

After submitting, the request shows in the Requests list with a status. The statuses are:

  • Submitted — your initial state
  • Under review — supervisor is triaging
  • Approved — converted to a job; you can see the linked job
  • Rejected — closed without action; the supervisor will leave a comment with the reason

Tracking the status of a submitted request

You’ll get a notification when the status changes.
